Usonia was a word used by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright for his envisioned communities of affordable middle-class housing.

Comprising his philosophies regarding planning, nature and simple design on a human scale, Usonia as a concept was unfortunately destined to fail, as the dream and reality would never coalesce beyond a small town in upstate New York.

Miesian's second album celebrates Usonia and it's forward thinking ideas, with the clarinet replacing alto sax to bring an earthy, hopeful melancholy to the proceedings. While continuing to explore the textural nuances of reverb and delay, looping audio has been implemented as well, speaking to the grid-like nature of architectural renderings and organized community.
